Warren Buffett Sucess Is Well Known
Everybody knows something about Warren Buffett. He started buying cheap stocks in the early sixties at discounted prices. Buffett usually bought from companies suffering from financial issues. Once he bought the majority of the stock in a company, he acquired controlling rights of the company. Buffett made himself a millionaire after only a couple of years of buying stocks. Today, Warren Buffett is rated as the second wealthiest person in this country.

Warren Buffett-Brookshire Hathaway
Warren Buffett is the chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway. Buffett gained controlling interest in the company after purchasing all their stocks. Berkshire Hathaway started as textile industry company. After Buffett gained controlling interest in Berkshire, he moved the company away from the textile industry and reformed the company as an investment firm.

Warren Buffett Charitable Causes
Warren Buffett is a very generous man in his donations to charities. Bill Gates and Warren Buffett started “The Giving Pledge”, a few years after Bill Gates and his wife founded their charitable foundation. “The Giving Pledge” is a pledge that at least half of the person’s estate will be given to charity. Before Buffett’s involvement with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Warren Buffett has set up his own charitable giving foundation. After Buffett wife’s death in 2004, he shifted the majority of his charitable giving to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Summary
Warren Buffett continues as CEO of Brookshire Hathaway and still lives in his modest home he purchased years ago. Warren Buffett seems to go in a new direction with Hillshire. Until last year, Buffett shied away from technology companies. Currently, Hillshire/Bonnett controls about 14% of Apple through Hillshire/Bonnett purchases of Apple stocks.
