Warren Buffett European Stocks

Warren Buffet born in 1930 in Omaha Nebraska he is a business magnate as well as an investor and philanthropist. He is well known for his leadership of Berkshire Hathaway. With a net worth of over $87.5 billion making him the third wealthiest person in the world he is also one of the most successful investors in the world.

When you stop and think that his bank account only had $6 000.00 in it and now he is a billionaire it makes you wonder how he did it? He does not have a large record of owning European stock yet does makeup part of his portfolio.

Some of the European stock that he has owned stock in is;

1. Samofi Aventis
2. Tesco
3. National Oilwell Varco and
4. Munich Re.

Part of the problems has been that in order to own European stock he has to give up his right to set his own monetary policy.

European stocks are down 40% on the year. But Buffet has a lot of patience when it comes to waiting on the stocks. He will hold on to his stocks forever if that is what is needed to make money.

We wonder what Buffet would buy if he were purchasing European stock right now. What would he look for? His stock could consist of stock in SABMiller company or AstraZeneca. When it comes to SABMiller who does not believe that beer will become more famous than champagne.

Warren Buffet’s main concept is stating that you need to know what you are investing in. Not knowing what you are doing makes it risky.
