Warren Buffett And His Company Berkshire Hathaway.

Warren Buffett is one of the most well known investors in the world, and to understand exactly how he became the man that he is today you must understand his distinct investment style. Warren Buffett has been in the business since the 1950’s and he was inspired long before that as a child. Berkshire Hathaway is Warren Buffetts holding company, and the firm that is actually behind many well know companies that you already know. Berkshire Hathaway has about forty companies underneath it, and Warren is at the helm with his good friend Charlie Munger. Warren Buffett believes in Value Investing, and he has kept the philosophy through his company Berkshire Hathaway as well.

Warren Buffett’s company actually started out as a Textile Manufacturer, and Warren got in an argument with the majority share holder there. Warren ended up taking the company over, and in the long term having to wind down the textile manufacturing by the 80s. What really happened is that he ended up turning the company into the conglomerate that it has become today. Berkshire Hathaway is behind many famous companies that you already know and in fact some that you might now. Think about Geico, that insurance company with the funny cavemen in the commercials. Well that is a Warren Buffett company as well, and when you think about Phillips 66, the company with the fuel for race cars well that is a Warren Buffett company as well.

There is nothing shy about Warren Buffett, and his company has become one of the largest holding firms in the world. With a war chest of about $116 billion there is no chance of the company ever going out of business anytime soon. Berkshire Hathaway is the go to company of the investment world, and stands to continuing making extraordinary profits.
