Warren Buffett is in charge of the biggest stock portfolio in the world. The Berkshire Hathaway portfolio is worth billions of dollars. Berkshire Hathaway is a publicly traded company and has investments in numerous sectors. Warren Buffett is the chairman and CEO of the firm. The Berkshire’s portfolio is tracked by many investors from around the world to get a hint of what Warren is thinking.

The Oracle of Omaha is an active investor who invests in numerous industries and various stocks. The sectors of the economy where Warren is ready to place his money in are seen as promising sectors by his followers. His success in the stock market makes everyone appreciate the work he has done in the industry.

Warren Buffett releases quarterly reports top show active portfolio in a specified period. Although Berkshire has not had many operations in the last one year, there are notable buys and sells which has taken place.

The biggest news coming out of Berkshire is the emergence of a new top stock investment for Berkshire. Berkshire has been adding shareholding in Apple. The company last year added stocks worth $20 billion to its already existing shareholding of 7 billion. In the first quarter of 2018, the company has added 75 million shares in Apple making it the top stock investment. Apple replaced Wells Fargo as the top stock investment.

Berkshire Hathaway also made other notable purchases including U.S Corp and Bank of New York Mellon. Berkshire bought 2 million shares in U.S Corp and 10.6 million shares in Bank of New York Mellon. Berkshire also increased its shareholding in Monsanto bringing the total shareholding to 11.7 million shares.

The only new addition Berkshire Hathaway has made is the Teva Pharmaceuticals. The firm bought 18.9 million shares worth $358 million. After the purchase, the Teva shares went up by a huge margin.
