Living like a billionaire isn’t always the way to go, and for the richest man in the world Warren Buffett saving money is everything. You would think that the richest man in the world would have everything, but instead Warren Buffett is quite the frugal man who values family and his friendships over all the money in the world. There are many different stories about how frugal Warren is, and all of them are truly unique to him. Warren is known to personally pick his friend Bill Gates up from the airport when he is in town in Omaha and he famously paid for a lunch to Mcdonalds with Bill and His Wife Melinda by using coupons.
When Warren Buffett’s first child was born it has been said that he famously turned a dresser drawer into a baby bed as opposed to buying a bassinet. While this might seem extreme, this just goes to show how experienced Warren Buffett is at saving money. We could all learn from Warren, because this is the key to how he builds wealth. All of the money that he has saved over the years has translated into investments and building his powerful portfolio. Warren Buffett doesn’t own a yacht, and his car up until recently was a 2006 Cadillac DTS. Warren has also been known to use the same phone for twenty years, boasting to CNBC that he still had his original Nokia smart phone.
Warren Buffett also still lives in the same home that he purchased in 1958, and has said that he will not ever sell it. Warren Buffett is also quite the cheap scape when it comes to breakfast, eating the same meal daily of a Sausage and Egg biscuit and a coke. Saving money might seem like a daunting task, but if the richest man in the world can live frugal then we can too.
