Just a few weeks before Warren Buffett’s much-awaited HBO documentary, “Becoming Warren Buffett” airs, the Oracle of Omaha will be gracing screens with his presence in a far more entertaining fashion. According to the Omaha World Herald, Buffett will be on tonight’s episode (1/16/17) of “Celebrity Apprentice” as an adviser to candidates.
The show, which was once known for hosting a fire-happy President-elect Donald Trump, is being run by actor and former politician Arnold Schwarzenegger. Contestants are competing for a $250,000 check which they can give to the charity of their choice. The connection to charity makes Buffett’s support make more sense as the Oracle of Omaha is one of the world’s top philanthropists.
During tonight’s episode, contestants are expected to come up with a new product for See’s Candies, and then fly out to Omaha to allow Chairman Warren Bufett to taste test their confections and see if he wants to carry any of them.
While the episode was filmed last February, there haven’t been any new candies spotted in stores with the “Celebrity Apprentice” logo on them, so it’s unclear whether or not any of the candies stood up to Buffett’s test. Of course, it’s also possible that the candies will be debuted after the show airs; only time will tell!
Buffett’s episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” will be aired on Monday, January 16 on NBC at 7 p.m. CST but will also be available via NBC’s website, YouTube, and a few other streaming channels.
