Brief History

ISCAR was founded in 1952 in Nahariya, Israel by Stef Wertheimer. When it was first established, the company operated out of a shack and provided metal machining and manufacturing. Stef’s hard work and innovations quickly made the company a leader in the industry.

Over the years, the company expanded and grew in both size and reputation and by the 1980s, ISCAR began expanding to offer its products globally. It expanded into European, Western and Far Eastern markets, creating factories and distribution centers around the world with the goal of being able to deliver products anywhere in the world within a few hours.

The company was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway in 2006 as part of the IMC Group, and with the enthusiastic backing of Berkshire Hathaway, ISCAR and IMC Group have continued to excel and provide innovative solutions to companies and industries around the world.
