Susan L. Decker, also known as “Sue”, was born in 1962 and currently lives in Marin County with her three children.
Decker has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Tufts University where she double majored in Computer Science and Economics. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She received the Harvard Business School’s Alumni Achievement Award in 2010 for her many accomplishments.
Much of Susan L. Decker’s career was spent with Yahoo where she served as President, Head of the Advertiser and Publisher Group, and CFO. She left Yahoo in 2009. Prior to her time with Yahoo she worked at the Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette investment bank for 14 years, and spent time as an equity research analyst.
Susan L. Decker has been an independent director for Berkshire Hathaway since 2007.
In addition to Berkshire Hathaway, she also serves on a variety of boards including Intel Corporation, CostCo, and LegalZoom. In the past, she has served on the Board of Directors for Pixar Animation and for the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. She became a trustee of Save the Children in March 2010.
