Berkshire Hathaway Poaches Executives from AIG

Berkshire Hathaway, founded by billionaire investor Warren Buffett, has recently poached two senior executives from AIG’s Asian operations. They did this as part of a plan that will boost their insurance business within the region, we learned according to sources.

The conglomerate, which established a commercial insurance business in the US just last year, has been working on expanding its operations on a global scale.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, insurance provider for commercial properties, casualty insurance as well as other types, is currently applying for licenses to regulators in Hong Kong, Europe, Singapore and Sydney, and they are even recruiting talent from some of the well-established rivals that already exist.
