Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices just announced that they brought in their first resort brokerage signee, Colorado Properties. HomeServices is the new real estate brokerage network being operated by HSF Affiliates LLC. Colorado Properties is going to begin operating as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties beginning in October 2013.
The owner of the brokerage, Michael Slevin, tells us that he chose to go with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices because of its financial strength, brand reputation and leadership. “The Berkshire Hathaway name is known worldwide for integrity, trust and success, and we’re proud to attach the name to our own,” explained Slevin. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime brand opportunity we just couldn’t pass up.”
Slevin also mentions that the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand is going to resonate particularly well with clients in all market segments, beginning with the affluent buyers of their second homes that typically tend to gravitate toward Vail Valley from the metropolitan areas. The brand is also going to be attractive to professionals in real estate, Slevin added.
“We are excited to introduce Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices into our community,” said Slevin. “Combining our company and market with a brand inspired by Berkshire Hathaway, the world’s most respected company according to Barron’s, gives us endless possibilities.”
The President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Stephen Phillips, eagerly welcomed the company and Slevin to the brand. “We are honored to add Colorado Properties to our network ranks,” said Phillips. “Michael is a highly respected broker in the Vail Valley and throughout the region. Colorado Properties is one of the industry’s top companies and is a generous corporate citizen with strong support for local and national charities.”
Slevin and his team of leaders are going to meet with the home services sales professionals in Eagle, Beaver Creek, Gypsum, Edwards and Vail over the coming weeks to discuss the future transition. “We’re excited about our announcement and want to discuss it personally with our team members,” he said. “Our company’s future has never been brighter and we want to celebrate it with every one of our sales professionals, support teams and business partners.”
