Yes, that’s right Warren Buffett is actually the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, a company which he owns with his partner of fifty years Charlie Munger. Berkshire Hathaway actually wasn’t founded by Warren Buffett and it didn’t start out being a holding company. Berkshire Hathaway was actually a textile production company that Warren Buffett initial begin to invest in. He got into an argument with the original founder and his previous partner over a share price to buy the company at. This led Warren Buffett to just buy a majority stake in the company and fire his partner, in typical Wall Street style Warren kept the company a textile production company until the 1980s when he finally wound down the production unit.

Berkshire Hathaway is actually the company that is behind many famous companies that you already know, with the main one being the Geico insurance company. Yes, that’s right, those funny cavemen commercials that you have enjoyed for years are actually paid for by Warren Buffett. This is just one of the many well-known companies that Warren Buffett has his hand in, with the second most well-known company being the Kraft food company. Warren Buffett is known for his love of American companies, so naturally, he has in hand in quite a few well-known companies. Warren was also the man that plunk down a few billion on Goldman Sachs and famously made $10 Billion during the 2008 recession.

There is no doubt that Warren Buffett knows how to make money, and as such he has always found a way to make his shareholders a profit even during the times of financial distress. Warren Buffett is one of the best investors in the country and will continue to make a profit for his investors as time rolls on.
