Joey Prusak Receives Surprise Call from Warren Buffett

A manager at the Minnesota Dairy Queen, Joey Prusak, recently performed a good deed for a blind customer that went viral on the Internet last week. He also received an unlikely phone call that he will probably never forget:

“Just got off the phone with @Warren Buffett, what a great phone call that was! Thank you sir for calling me!” – Joey Prusak

Warren Buffett, billionaire investor and owner of Dairy Queen, decided to call up the 19-year-old on Thursday and thanked him for giving a blind man $20 that he lost from his own pocket. The man accidentally dropped a $20 bill and then a woman stole it from him.

“He called and thanked me for being a role model for all the other employees and people in general,” said Prusak to the Associated Press.

The teenage manager was also invited to the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting in 2014 in Omaha, Nebraska, Dean Peters, spokesperson for Dairy Queen told ABCnews.com. Peters also mentions that Dairy Queen is trying to figure out a way to reward the young manager for his wonderful act of kindness.

“Here’s somebody that did something good for someone else and no one asked him to do it,” Peters said to ABC. “It strikes a chord in a lot of people.”
