Hi my name is Sonya Wiley and I had the privilege of making it into the newspaper with the oracle his presence is so powerful
when he did the grand opening at his RC Willey store in Reno I was there, Donald Trump say I think like a billionaire which I do and I'm gearing up to sing the national anthem at the White House. I would give just about anything to get the chance to have coffee or lunch or just be in his presence. What an honor.

Sonya - when are you singing at the white house? That's pretty cool! Congrats!
Posted:  16 Nov 2006 14:44
Well since I'm like family to the President and his family I have a choice I asked! and he said yes, now since the democrats have takin control of the house, I'm getting myself together to sing and go national all at the same time. So when we pinpoint a date I will post it. Your interest is very heart felt thanks.

Question: is there away to connect with the great one?

I just want to say thanks for giving to Mr. Buffett. I give what I can, and I make less than .1% of your salary. You are truly blessed! Also, you visited my son's school a couple of years ago. Hales Franciscan in Chicago. He's transferred from there. So, if you're ever in Chicago again, please stop by St. Gregory the Great High School and say hi to the juniors. He'll remember you.
Thanks for showing our kids you can be somebody!!!

God Bless

I watched the Warren Buffett show last night on CNBC and I have to say I had no ideal he was so down to earth with such a brillantly simple personality what a sweetheart! I look forward to meeting him one day very very soon.

Again we have the "Haves...and the Have NOTs"
how many have nots were at this grand parade of wealth?
how many people had to share crumbs that night. whos power got cut off while you enjoyed yourself that evening?
who got and eviction notice because they lost their job and there wasn't a job in the near future to support his or her family while you stayed warm eating well. I haven't heard anyone around here singing in a long time. i hear a whole lot of crying coming from a deep deep sadness that comes from desparation. I hope you enjoyed yourself enough for ALL of the less fortunate

There's only so much you can do for the "less fortunate" -- life is tough. Some people live well, others don't live so well. People do what they can, help where they can, but ultimately, some people *will* starve, and some *will* freeze to death in the winter, and some *will* be eaten by dogs when they die on the streets (well, maybe not in the United States, but in other countries maybe).

That's just life... Lot's of people, including me, are one bounced paycheck away from being in financial trouble.  But it's not the responsibility of the "rich" to give me or anyone else a handout.

what good is a man to gain all the wealth of the world and lose his soul?? It's all about choices, if you chose to be rich, then, go for it, but in a legitimate way... Life is just this way, you can't have the wealthy without the poor or less fortunates. You see it even in nature, you can't have light without darkness(day and night!); You can't have winter without autumn, and so on.... It's a BALANCE, that's what make the world go round and round!!!!!

huh?

the richest 1% of americans are "balanced out" by the rest of the 99% percent of us? that's not balance.

What's your point? I get sick and tired of people hating the "player" instead of hating the "game".

Actually Mr. Buffett only pays himself a salary of $100,000 per year, or less than most doctors and lawyers! Check this page if you don't believe this: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=BRK-A

He also spends little money and he still lives in the same house he bought for $31,500.

Jesus Christ! Why is it that every time one of these self haters post a comment on here they have to always be logged in as a 'guest'? Maybe the reason why you can't enjoy life and only concentrate on all of the shit that exists in this world is the same reason you can't sign up for a user name...because you are spineless that's why! Listen, here is a bit of advice for you. For every bit of hate, evil, and poverty that exist in this world there is plenty of good that exists as well. It's called the Tao vs Taoism, the Ying and Yang dude! Hell, even monks that live without running water or electricity in the mountains of Tibet understand that philosophy, so why can't you? I mean come on already. Can't somebody work hard in life, save their money, and take risks once in awhile? So if somebody does better than somebody else in life they don't have a right to enjoy it and should give it all away and feel bad every day for working hard in life and earning their money? Life is made up of winners and losers every day. I can tell you one thing 'guests', the attitude that you have right now is the same reason why 99% of the people in the world will never be in the top 1%. But hey, I am sure you don't want to admit that to yourself do you? Jendeb has it nailed to the point on things. Quit hating the Player instead of the Game; and let me tell you something, good luck trying to change the game! Keep up the great attitude 'guests' and let me know in ten years how that is working out for you! Because at the end of the day do you know who truly cares about you in life? The anwser is NO ONE! So please, please, please keep that in mind the next time you want to tell us on this fan forum how we should feel bad for earning everything that we make in life. I mean do you think that people who are successful in life just wake up one day and have lots of money? So basically I am saying this....'guests', the next time you come on here and want to make a comment about how the world is unfair and every body should go through life thinking about all the negativity, please just take a take moment before you write anything and realize that NO BODY CARES ABOUT YOU! Piss and moan all you want but Mr. Buffett is contributing a lot more to society than your sorry ass is or ever will! Oh and by the way, maybe you should go to Darfur, Africa right now and ask those people what the meaning of being poor is. One of the many great things about America is that you may leave whenever you want. Please email me your name and home address and I will be more than happy to buy you a one way plane ticket to whatever country you would like. And like I stated above, in ten years let me know how that is working out for you!

By the way. One of the guests wrote, "You can't have winter without autumn." Ok wait a second. What? Don't you mean you can't have winter without SUMMER? Since you are referring to how complete opposites in life make up a balance than it wouldn't be 'winter without autumn' it would be 'winter without summer'. Christ guest, you don't even make it fair for us to rebuttle you because you are too easy of a target!

Animal eats till he is satisfied and leaves the rest of the food to others. Man is greedy , the more he has , the more he wants and the more stingy he gets. Man is a an extraterrestrial landed here, destroying earth. Animal lives his life in harmony with its environment. Warren has crossed the line.

Hey guest, I don't know what cult you belong to but you really need to get out of it. The brainwashing at this point with you is out of control and borderline psycho! Animals may eat until they are satisfied and than leave the rest, unlike humans, but at the same time animals also 'rape at will' other animals that are their species whenever they breed. I agree that man by nature is greedy and always lust for more but that is a human trait that is instinctive and we are born with. In other words, maybe you should be mad at God than instead of humans. God is the one who made us born with these tendencies and desires just as God is the one who made every single species born with their own instincts and tendencies. If you were out in the wilderness by yourself and you came across a grizzly bear the bear would probably attack you even though you didn't do anything to him except for the fact that you happened to stumble across him in the wilderness. Does that sound very humane to you? You think that we are extraterrestrial beings who landed here on earth? Huh? Were you once a part of the Heaven's Gate Cult that missed out on the comet? Great, out of all of the people that didn't kill themselves that day you happened to be one of them. Your belief in humans being extraterrestrial is about as logical as a suicide bomber thinking that he will receive a bunch of virgins in heaven if he kills other human beings. Humans have plenty, and I mean plenty, of faults about them but we also have many many great qualities about us too. For example: Was it a human or a horse that invented modern day medicine that saves peoples lives? Was it a human or a pig that has the ability to help other humans across the whole planet? I can assume at this point, from your comments, that you are probably a young kid that has no idea how life works and is living in this 'dream world' of what is right and what is wrong. I can also assume that because you made the comment about Warren Buffett crossing the line with humanity that you don't do your research either before you start to open you mouth. Instead of any facts that might make your case against Warren you come on here with your ideals that, to be honest with you, don't really have a solid basis. All you did was point out some of the seven deadly sins that humans do on a regular basis. Wow!...you are such a deep thinker. Maybe you should major in Philosophy like I did in college. After you graduate and get out into the real world you start to realize very quickly that, yes, humans can be big pieces of shit a lot of times, but despite that knowledge there is a very simple truth that goes along with that. The truth is that there is nothing that you can do to change life and how human beings are by nature. Quick question for you too guest. Are you making a bigger impact in human life by standing out in the cold holding up your 'anti-whatever' sign or is Warren making a bigger impact by giving away more money that any human being has ever done in the history of mankind? If you think that Warren has crossed the line for being smarter than 99% of people in this world than maybe you should do a little research on him first before you come on here and make yourself look like an uneducated cult member who is living in fantasy land. Hey, I have a great idea. Why don't we all just click our heels and wish for world peace while we are at it? That probably sounds logical to you doesn't it? At the end of the day I don't care if you have your ideals and philosophies about life. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and ideals in life, which is completely fine. But to only make statements about your ideals and not really have any knowledge or facts of why you believe that, is not a very intelligent move and therefore you will never get anybody to ever really listen to you, even if you truly have a good point or not! For every bit of doubt and hate that you have towards human beings I can bring to the table many many good things that we do that other species don't. The one thing that humans have that other species don't is that we have the ability think about life through certain attitudes. If your attitude is that Warren Buffett is an evil man, even though I can present to you countless examples of that not being true, than I think that no matter what anybody does in life you will have a problem with them...except for maybe Ralf Nader or PETA! I am sure you love those people. They are changing the world about as much as you are! Warren has crossed the line huh? Please then, I invite you to do some research on him and come up with some sound convincing facts on why that is true in your mind. If you can do that than I will at least listen to your factless ramblings. However, if you can't do that than I suggest staying in your 'cult' and planning the next comet ride into the sunset!

Wow . My kind of discussion !!! Jendeb : You have my utmost respect for showing absolute clarity in your thinking and attitude . After I was married ( the first time ) I went thru a terrible period of real poverty . I felt for the first time hunger , we had no hot water or heat , I worked full time and took extra hours where I could get them , but every time I took a step forward something happened to send me cascading three steps or more back . Hospital bills from my very sick wife were piling up faster than I could send out my pitiful $5.00 payments . Why did this happen to me and to us ? Simple . My choices . Poor choices . I survived , and things got alot better .But no rich person stepped up and wrote me a blank check . Why would they want to anyways ? GIVE A MAN A FISH AND HE'LL EAT HAPPILY TONIGHT . TEACH HIM HOW TO FISH AND HE'LL EAT MANY NIGHTS SATISFIED .
Most human economic suffering is the result of poor choices . Period . There are exceptions true . It is said insanity is doing the same thing over and over the same way  and expecting a different result ( Quote I think from Albert Einstein ) .
If nothing else , Warren Buffett has over the years tried to show investors HOW to fish and fish WELL .

As far as the GUEST comment about mankind . Good grief I feel insanity creeping into the internet yet again . When a member of the animal kingdom (not human) manages to log onto this website , and submit a post duly written by same , I shall consider the animal kingdom in a bit different light . Until then , I suggest that human kind , as flawed as it surely is , is the reason the Earth is here and the things therein are to be used ( respectfully so I might add ) to benefit said human kind . To suggest WB has crossed the line because he's been successful is an insult to working folks who aspire to be all they can be .
No one wrote WB a blank check to finance his dreams . Many many people have prospered as a result of his vision .
Reminds me of an email I got from my best friend who attended a Enviromentalist Meeting once not long ago . Two hours of railing against capitalism and democracy , and all the attendees then got back into their gas powered vehicles and drove back home to their well heated carbon consuming homes . I'm sure if they had their way I'd be living in a tent on a mountain top dressed in raw recycled cotton fibers and eating brusselsprouts while they continued to drive their SUV's , live in their nice homes and continue to tell ME how fortunate I was to be living so very well at the expense of the Earth .
Best Regards , TBB43
