Sometimes I wonder what approach Warren Buffett might take
to making money in the stock market if he were starting over
again today from scratch.

People often forget that Warren Buffett didn't actually become
a billionaire by starting with $100k in a brokerage account,
and cleverly trading that money around until it reached $45
billion, or whatever his net worth peaked at before he decided
to donate the vast portion of his wealth to charity.

The real economic engine that drove Warren Buffett's net worth
through the roof was arguably his holdings in Berkshire Hathaway.

Now, to be clear, Warren had (and still presumably has) a very
uncanny ability to pick stocks.  And certainly his stock picking
acumen has been a critical factor in his success.

But if Warren Buffett were to start all over again today, I wonder
what he might do differently, if anything.

hey,

good post. i don't think WB would be as successful today. can't say for sure, but i think that part of his success came from being at the right place, at the right moment in time.

would the warren buffett be a millionaire? probably, i can't see him not being able to make some decent money in the stock market, but i don't know if it would have worked out the same way that it did.

there are always gonna be a lot of what ifs when you look back and try and think of how things might have been. sometimes its just better to stick to the present.
