We’ve just learned that Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance announced today that they have penned an agreement to buy MyAssist Inc. and Insure America LLC, from the Noel Group. MyAssist Inc. is a telematics service provider and live agent personal assistant company. And Insure America LLC is a company that provides travel industry insurance products.
Noel group CEO, chairman and founder John Noel is going to continue to run Insure America and MyAssist, while he continues to grow both of these businesses on a global level.
“MyAssist, Insure America and their leadership teams, with their records of innovative and outstanding service, fit extremely well with Berkshire Hathaway,” states Peter Eastwood, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance President. “Their unique capabilities complement our existing positions in insurance and customer service, and will help us extend our brand and create new business opportunities.”
“We are honored to be part of the world-class group of companies that is Berkshire Hathaway. This opportunity allows us to grow our businesses and enhance the high-quality experience currently enjoyed by MyAssist and Insure America customers,” states John Noel, travel-insurance and telematics industries pioneer.
“We are approaching potential acquisitions strategically and thoughtfully as we build our business for the long term,” said Eastwood. “We believe MyAssist’s list of customers speaks volumes about the appeal of its products and the quality of its services.” MyAssist’s corporate customers include Mercedes-Benz USA, Ford Motor Company, Verizon Telematics and other well-known insurance and travel companies.
