In the state of Alabama, the first brokerage to rebrand under the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices name is Prudential Showcase Properties. This franchise, currently backed by Warren Buffett, recently launched this past September. They now have over 957 offices in 46 states that cater to 32,000 agents.
The Alabama Prudential brokerage is now known as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Showcase Properties. Their offices recently moved to Dothan, and the firm consists of 29 agents. Recently, the agency unveiled a branded peanut statue. This was part of Dothan’s “Peanuts Around Town” public art project. They did this in an effort to celebrate the claim that they are the “Peanut Capital of the World.”
The Prudential real estate company, sold in 2011 by Prudential Financial Inc., is being phased out gradually. HomeServices of America, the real estate brokerage company owned by Warren Buffett, has the majority stake in HSF Affiliates LLC, and they operate Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and the Prudential Real Estate and Real Living Real Estate franchise networks.
