Berkshire Acquisition: Main Street Realty

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty has decided to broaden its reach once again in Orlando by acquiring Main Street Realty International based out of Windermere. This recent acquisition adds 60 employees and sales professionals to the mix, one office, plus title services, financing and leasing operations.

This is the next step in Berkshire Hathaway’s latest ongoing strategy, and it falls on the heels of the acquisition of Elite Preferred Realty last month.

“Main Street Realty International is well-respected throughout Central Florida and is known particularly for its leadership in Orlando’s luxury markets,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty’s CEO and President Rei Mesa. “The firm’s high average selling price and loyal client base speak for skill and service of this fine team.”

Judy Black, Main Street Realty President and founder of the company in 1985, mentioned that the creation of the new Berkshire Hathaway real estate network is a perfect fit for her company.

“We are proud to join forces with Rei and the Florida Realty team,” said Black. “As important, we are excited to join the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand, which is certain to resonate loud and clear in the luxury Windermere market and bring a powerful new synergy to our sales team.”

Jason Black, Main Street Realty VP added: “Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty is providing us with an extraordinary boost of energy and credibility at a crucial time as the real estate industry is climbing out of the housing recession. We look forward to a new era of growth with our new ownership.”

Judy Black will stay on board in the office as one of its highest producing sales personnel. Jason Black is also continuing with the company in a consulting role, where he will focus on expanding their Orlando title operations.
